He studied Computer Science at the Anahuac University in Mexico City, with postgraduate studies in Spatial Communications and executive programs at Stanford, Rice and Harvard University.

Since 1982 he is CEO and Founder of EDI Estructuras de Infromación.

Board member of multinational corporations such as HispaSat (Spanish Satellite), EADS (Airbus, Eurocopter), Datacraft (Cisco global partner) and Redsat. He has bind together his professional duties to Telecommunication and IT. He has also participated in the foundation of more than 45 companies in more than 12 countries since 1982.

In 2007 wins the National Technology Award from CONACYT (National Technology Council). In 2009 he was granted the prize “Emprendedor del Año” hosted by CNN and Expansión magazine and in 2011 winner of the “Entrepreneur of the Year”, granted by “Ernst & Young“. Forbes also selected Jaime as one of the Latin American leaders in technology and transformation, and USA Today named him one of the most influential figures in the health technology sector in Latin America. 
 
Member of the Mexican National Council of Innovation, and President of HDS for the last 18 years, (company devoted to the Health Sector through IT, with more than 900 employees and with operations in eight countries), Jaime recently, through an M&A process with Solera Inc, implemented the national platform for the electronic processing of health claims linking insurers and private hospitals throughout the country.

1982 – At the age of 19 he founded EDI | Estructuras de Información, his first company.

1984 – He graduated as a Bachelor of Computer Science from the Anáhuac University, Mexico City.

1991 – Obtains a Postgraduate Degree in Satellite Telecommunications from Rice University, Houston, Texas.

2000 – Earns certifications from various executive programs conducted at Harvard, Stanford, and MIT.

2009 – Winner of the National Technology recognition by CONACYT.

2010 – Chosen as Entrepreneur of the Year in Expansión magazine, in the event carried out by CNN.

2011 – Selected as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young.

2012 – Included in USA Today's 'Most Influential Figures' for the Health Technology sector in Latin America.
