Ernst & Young awards Jaime Cater Gutiérrez as Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 for Health Digital Systems | HDS.

Jaime Cater Gutiérrez was included among the Entrepreneur Of The Year® Mexico 2010 by the company Ernst & Young, thanks to his work with his company HDS and the development of projects such as the Electronic Medical Record.

In an event held in 2010, the Entrepreneur Of The Year® Mexico 2010 gala ceremony was held at the facilities of the Interactive Museum of Economics (MIDE), where the 10 finalists selected for standing out in their industrial sectors were announced. Among them, Rodrigo Alonso Herrera Aspra, president and general director of Genomma Lab Internacional, was recognized as the national winner.

The ceremony, led by Emilio Díaz, managing partner of Clients and Markets at Ernst & Young, was attended by the presidents and directors of the American, British, French, and Japanese chambers of commerce, the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives IMEF, the Employers' Confederation of the Mexican Republic (COPARMEX), the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants (IMCP), among others. In it, emphasis was placed on the need to carry out initiatives of this type to improve the business culture in Mexico.

Alberto Tiburcio, president, and general director of Ernst & Young Mexico and Central America pointed out: “We wanted to recognize the people who believed in an idea, risked their heritage many times, and have turned it into a successful reality. We know that if we promote the entrepreneurial spirit there will be more people who create businesses, create jobs, and improve the country's economy."

In addition, the executive thanked the effort of the independent panel of judges, made up of Arturo Fernández Pérez, Alfonso González Migoya, Ricardo Guajardo Touché, Miguel Mancera Aguayo, and Ernesto Vega Velasco, who analyzed the cases of each of the leaders with great interest and dedication. companies to determine the winner, as well as the 10 finalists who stood out in their industries.

Maria Pinelli, leader of Strategic Growth Markets at Ernst & Young America, reiterated the support that this program has given to entrepreneurs around the world. “At Ernst & Young, we have celebrated the spirit of business innovation for 24 years in 140 cities; events are currently taking place in Vancouver, Jakarta, and Wisconsin. At the event, the Ernst & Young partners awarded the 10 finalists recognition for standing out in the industrial sectors where they work, before announcing the national winner, who will represent Mexico in the World Entrepreneur Of The Year, to be held in Monte Carlo, Monaco, in 2011.

Before the announcement of the Entrepreneur of the Year, Óscar Mario Beteta, general director and host of the program 'En los tiempos de la radio', on Radio Formula, addressed a few words to the guests and pointed out that the business sector makes well-being and employment possibilities in the community. “There is no substitute for striving for high standards of progress. Because it is decisive for the rest of society, it must be recognized, ”he emphasized.

After the words of Óscar Mario Beteta came the culmination of the event, in which Alberto Tiburcio and Maria Pinelli revealed the long-awaited name of the winning finalist: Rodrigo Alonso Herrera Aspra, who demonstrated the greatest innovation and growth in his project, by positioning his business model in 14 countries in 14 years of existence.
